Important Player / Parent Meeting Re-Cap

There was an excellent turn out at the meeting on Monday. Coach Guy gave out copies of an important information pack outlining his goals, the plan for the team, and expectations of the players. If you did not get a copy, send an email to Coach Guy or the Team Parent Rep and we will get you one.

May 2008: Irvine “Own the City” Tournament

Northwood Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse won this hotly contested event!

The first game was against cross town rival Woodbridge High.  Always a tough game, the teams were tied 2-2 at halftime.  The third and fourth quarters saw great plays on offense and defense for both teams.  Northwood ended the game two points ahead to win 6-4.  The Northwood team put on their best display of skills and teamwork.

The championship game was against Irvine High.  The T-wolves controlled the whole game, bringing the win with a final score of 7-1.

Special thanks go to Kyle Collins (brother of senior attack man Brian) for coaching the team for the day.  Kyle, former long pole defender for Cal Poly SLO and Northwood High water polo team member, generously donated his time to lead the team to victory!

Not only did the team win the trophy, NHS attack man Aaron Bucka brought home the award for “Offensive MVP” of the tournament.
